Jury selection continues

Well, day 8 is over in Gastonia. Unfortunately, I have not heard from the prosecution or defense on how the day went. It was getting late so I hated not to go ahead on post something. Yesterday I was told today would be more questioning by Assistant DA Eric Bellas. Whether he turned over the questioning to the defense I do not know. Nor do I know if any more jurors were seated today. Sorry. Not much of an update, huh? I just didn't want to ignore ya.
It's so much easier covering the case when you are actually down there, but sources are limited here, so while jury selection continues I remain in Hickory. Once opening statements begin, though, I'll be down there. I can't wait.
I've been told by fellow media workers that covering a trial is a long, drawn out process. I was told I'd get bored. I doubt that. This is the first time I've actually covered an entire case, but I don't think I'll get bored, especially in this one. We've all heard so many rumors. I want to hear the truth from the people that (hopefully) know it. I don't think this will be boring at all.

Ok, you're ready for the trial to begin. But jury selection is crucial. Why can't you tell us something about what the lawyers are asking, or your impressions of the process? You've told us absolutely nothing.

Idioscope,

Perhaps you should READ these blogs again. She tells what questions have been asked AND she also stated that she's not down there anymore for jury selection. You haven't even paid attention to what she has told you. Also, I would recommend that you read the newspaper articles. As far as I've been able to tell, no reporter is telling more than what you see on the blog and in the papers.
