SBI agent takes the stand
Here's an interesting question I've been wondering since I saw photos of Emily's body in the toolbox: What happened to the tools in the toolbox? Surely if you have a toolbox bolted to your truck, there are tools in it, right? When Emily's body was found, there was nothing in the toolbox but her, some blood and some dirt and grass. Dubs asked Investigator Pyle this afternoon if on any of the two searched he and other investigators did around the farm and Anderson home, if they found any tools or a tray that goes inside the toolbox. Pyle said he did not find any tools nor did anyone that he knew of. Wonder what happened to those?
About 30 minutes before the day came to an end, Shane Greene took the stand. He's an SBI agent. He currently works in the Asheville lab as a senior firearms examiner and toolmark analyzer. He was asked to inspect the flat tire from Emily Anderson's truck, a bullet found in Emily Anderson's shirts and bullet fragments. He said the tire was punctured not by a bullet or knife. It was some kind of irregular object, he said. It had a jagged cut, he said. Emily was shot either with a 38 special or 357 magnum. It's possible either of those bullets could come from up to eight guns, Greene said. Remember a murder weapon has never been found.
Greene will continue his testimony tomorrow morning.

Pyle left the stand without explaining further what all the dates and hours on the oil filters mean with regards to the murder?
I'm getting out my stationery and sending off that letter to the Governor now.
Being a man, perhaps I can assist you in understanding the oil filter information. The one filter found in the water run off was dated for 1/16/06 with 298 working hours recorded on it. The tractor that this filter went in had an oil filter in it dated 12/29/05. Logic would tell someone that the filter (1/16/06) had been removed and replaced with a filter dated specifically for 12/29/05. You don’t take your car in to the shop and ask them to date the filter for the previous month do you?
The other filter found in the manure pile was dated 11/8/05. A farmer would not change the filter on a tractor 21 days later unless it had been run continuously. With the number of tractors Jerry had he would not have accumulated that many hours on one tractor.
I this information helps you to understand the importance of the information presented today.
Purpledog Ah, thank you on the numbers and dates. I did not understand how that worked.
But do you or does anyone understand what the prosecution is implying here? Does changing the oil filter require Mr. Anderson's help for an entire day? How long does it take to change this part on a tractor? In short, why does it create an alibi for Mr. Anderson?
No it would not have taken all day but it was his own words that have caused him difficulty.
Jerry told investigators he was with Oscar at the farm the entire day. (This came directly from Ms. Dubbs' questions.) He also left a message on Emily's phone for her to get oil filters. My question is did he stay at the farm and change oil and if so did he go and get the filters that he needed or was this just ground work for an alibi?
Could it be that the reason none of the oil filter information makes sense is that it is a concocted story? Lie upon lie upon lie tends to become distorted and not make any sense after a while. As to the murder weapon, it's probably at the bottom of the Catawba River with the missing tools.
I find it way intersting that I am hearing things from the media that has not been posted by Jennifer as being said in the court room...
--Where are these glasses that was found in the hotel room?
--Are they Emily's or not?
--Who rented this hotel room?..The Mexican who she called so much? (just a thought)
--Where was the credit card used? when? for what? Anyone look a video footage to see who used the card?
--was this presented in the courtroom yet?
I'll have more questions later...I am sure
Tink out....
Noone has said if the truck was driven with a flat tire or was it made flat while sitting there.
You can tell if a tire has been run or moved while flat.
