Nothing new

Just an FYI, it's time for the afternoon break and we haven't heard anything. By the time they get back at 3:45, they will have one hour and 15 minutes until the day is over. Will we learn anything today? The waiting continues...

I think, regardless of whatever verdict the jury comes out with, we will never be sure of the truth. There will always be a cloud of doubt as to whether an innocent man was convicted of murder, or whether a guilty man got away with murder.

I think this is the one and only fact that was proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

Let’s consider the time line:
If everyone is telling the truth, then Emily left (from the rented home, not the farm) that morning to run errands. She Stopped at PD Grocery before 7:00am. Went to Sawmills Hardware then on to Martin Marietta to buy gravel, she was seen at the “Holiday-To-Go” on Connelly Springs road. Her next stop was supposed to be Sam’s club.

Did the Farm worker see her prior to 7:00am following Jerry into the woods?
He said he didn’t ware a watch. If his time is wrong then she never came back from running errands.
Did she meet somebody the “Mullet Haircut Man” and just leave with him?
Was she forced to leave?

If the Farm workers time is correct then she would have had to finish her errands go back by her house change into work clothes and then arrive at the farm by 9:00am to be seen following Jerry into the woods.
Did she make it to Sam’s?
Did she come back to the Farm instead?

Consider the property and logistics:
If she followed Jerry into a wooded area (if you look at an Arial view of the farm there’s not much woods) and the Farm workers saw them go and then you here gun shots, why wouldn’t you investigate? When Jerry returned would you not ask him what the shooting was about? Unless hearing gun shots is a normal occurrence in the area or the gun shots sounded far away. As I said there’s not a large wooded area, where would you hide the truck to load the body where no one would see you loading it? The Prosecutor said he loaded the truck on a trailer. And nobody saw him? Any neighbor going by would have taken notice of that. Loading a Tractor they probably would not, but a Truck?

Consider the Body:
Both medical examiners stated the body to be dead 2 to 4 days. The prosecutor’s medical examiner said she wouldn’t rule out 10 Days however unlikely it was. The Defense’s medical examiner said it couldn’t have been there 10 days.
If that’s true she had to have been killed in South Carolina.
The Hair Dresser stated she colored her hair in preparation for the dinner party. There’s no doubt about the date, the hair dresser had an appointment book. So she either lied or it happened, no room to be mistaken. Why Lie?
So when did she die her hair again and why? Her picture was on the news so did she not want to be recognized or did her captors not want her to be recognized?

who said she was actually dead when she went into the tool box?
may be no one went to check on gun shots cause they know he was mad and didn't want shot too.
maybe he didnt load the truck til night, thats why the dog alerted at the tree but no evedience was found (she was wrapped up good).

and if no one says guilty or not...
GOD will sort it out.( that is proven beyond reasonable doubt.)

firefox.... you said question did she make it to Sams club?
i worked at Sams when she went missing and when the cops showed up and went through all of the security camera tapes and saw no sign of her ever getting there.

This has to be one of the most fascinating cases in the history of North Caroilna. So many contraditions, so much confusion.
Personally, I think the defense did a great job and the State simply did the best they could. No doubt, if he is found guilty, his team will file an appeal right away.

As in my previous posts...

Any theory is as good as the next because the evidence is so incomplete that every one of us could fabricate a very plausible story to explain his / her whereabouts at most any time...

That is the problem.

There is a gaping lack of facts leaving nothing but conjecture and opinion...

Again, No weapon, Noblood/DNA, No direct eyewitness (es)...
No Murder in the First.

nonetheless, good theories presented here on both sides...
And they all work because NONE OF US KNOW FOR SURE, not even the prosecutor... apparantly.

PSYCIC your theory is not possible according to the DA . Jerry had to have loaded the truck during broad daylight . Heres why they say she was shot around 9 am then he loaded the truck on the trailer . Then he was gone hauling it to SC Between 12:04 and 4:30 . So therefore the truck couldn't have been loaded at night according to the DA's closing statement. SORRY !

Directed to psycho:
I had heard the Sam’s tapes didn’t show her there, but was that entered as evidence?
Loading the Truck at night is possible but the prosecutor said he loaded it between 12pm and 4pm and took it to South Carolina that day before the Dinner party.

About the Caldwell county Sheriff’s Dept:
You have to remember when this started it was a missing persons report. With Emily’s past history it was assumed she ran off again. Nobody was looking for a Crime scene or investigating a murder. By the time they found the body most of the evidence was gone or removed. Some employees at the farm had left for Mexico, either because they were illegal, they were witness and knew more than they wanted to tell, they were paid by Jerry to dispose of the body or they could have been the killer.
Should they have treated this as a murder from the beginning?

psycic psycho
another reason "psycic psycho" cannot be right is he gives credibility to the dog search...now THAT was one of CCSD biggie mistakes...hiring that person...cannot even call him a dog handler...at FEMA did not...nor john joyce, the expert.
