Watch for the red light

The red light just came on. The jurors can apparently press a button when they have a question or a verdict. The judge is here. Let's see... A note that says we are requesting... a list of exhibits - map of sawmills, Jerry Anderson's statement, phone records of the dairy and resident, pictures of the truck at Waffle House and photos from Keith Keen's towing. So the jurors will take those exhibits back to the deliberation room. But first, the jury is coming back right now to explain the Keith Keen photos. They said in the note they wanted the photos and listed the specific exhibit numbers (states 20-37) which are different than the photos of Keen's towing... Let's find out... Turns out they want both - 20-37, which are photos from South Carolina, and photos from Keen's towing - which included the body.

I just mapped out from sawmills to duncan using superpages and it says it would take 1 hour and 42 minutes. So yes, it could be done in 4 hours!

I think the theory about going to SC could be possible. But it has been rumored by at least one hispanic in our community; that Jerry paid an illegal the $2000.00 Emily had on her. Plus more money to drive the truck to SC. This could be just gossip, but that would make more sense to me. Again, the CCSD didn't investigate this, and I believe they were given a tip. But I can't swear to that.

That is 3 hours and 24 minutes round trip. Do you think it took him 36 minutes to unload a truck. And given that most people don't always drive the speed limit, it could be done quicker than that. So yes, sawmillman..I did the math.

Either way, whether he drove to Duncan, S.C or not, he stil murdered Emily! Either way in my book he is still guilty!

And even if he did hire thhis illegal to drive down there doesn't mean that the illegal should take the rap for this crime! He might have not known about what was going down!

jerry's most likely route to Duncan would probally be hwy 64 or hwy 221. I travel these roads frequently going to Rutherford county and jerry did a great job of driving if he made it to Duncan, unloaded a vehicle, drove to the Waffle house, walked back to the truck stop and drove home in four hours. I constantly hit heavy traffic, road construction and slow drivers on this road. jerry was reportedly pulling an "equipment trailer" this is an open type trailer used to transport tractors, dozers, etc. not something you make good time with.

All this discussion about hauling and trailers and timing and miles...would not this have to be presented and explained, DURING THE TRIAL, in order fo a juror to take it into serious consideration? I'm just sayin'...

But what doesn't make sense is why would Mr. Anderson want the truck moved exactly to Duncan. Wouldn't it have been easier to leave it at a motel in Lenoir or Hickory. Wouldn't it have made for the same effect - making it look like Emily had an affair?

Moving it so far away and having to account for such a large gap of lost time would have been a logicstical nightmare for Mr. Anderson, as we can see. So why do it?

I don't think jerry drove the truck. I think the guy that drove the truck is safe at home in Mexico.

Okay, we've all figured out that the trip from Sawmills to Duncan can be made in less than the 4 hours the state says it took him to go. What the state conveniently left out of their statements was where their own witness testified that Jerry's cell phone had placed a call during that time period.

And I quote from the HDR "Fellner also had records of Jerry Anderson’s cell phone. At 12:04 p.m., Dec. 29, 2005, he made a call that bounced off a cell phone tower in Connelly Springs. He made another call at 2:56 p.m. The initial tower site was in Granite Falls. By the end of the conversation, the tower site was South Center Street in Hickory, Fellner said. The next call Jerry made that day was 4:51 p.m. The towers hit were in Lenoir."

So if they are saying that he did use the phone at 12:04 and made it back by 4:30 to Sawmills how in the world did he use his cell phone at 2:56 in Granite and move towards Hickory. It's kind of convenient for them to pick and choose what parts they want to use during the closing arguements. But it's another example of the "lets use what best suits our case to make Jerry look guilty" technic they've been using the entire time.

Very good point observer. Then again maybe another one of his accomplises was using his phone . Yeah right !

who says Jerry was making the calls on his cell phone? What about a farm worker or Matt? Just curious questions that I would bring up. Did the calls originate from his cell phone, or were they incoming calls to his phone from Hickory and Lenoir and Granite Falls?

The story from the hispanic is that Jerry didn't tell the illegal what was in the truck.... simply drive until it is low on fuel, drop it in a populated area. Have a friend pick you up and never be seen in this area again.... enjoy the money. And yes, I think Texas is on the way to Mexico.

How many miles do you think that truck would go on a tank of fuel CCR ? I would think it would go alittle further than 100 miles . Just a observation .

I don't know how much gas was in the truck to begin with? And the tire was cut with an object. Maybe the driver had a flat and that was as far as he/she could go. Could he have run over something in the road and damaged the tire? I have had that happen to my truck before. I don't know for sure that a hispanic drove her truck to SC. It was told to me by a hispanic client. But it makes more sense than Jerry hauling the truck himself and if the hispanic was on the way home to Mexico, that would explain the call from Texas. I don't know the truth. I think none of us do. The source that told me was a member of the hispanic community and I have no reason to doubt him. But no one will probably ever know the real truth because the investigation was so badly handled. But the fact her money was missing and the truck ended up in SC, then the call from Texas. To me it makes more sense than Jerry hauling it and taking a chance of being seen doing that. It would also answer how he could be in the area making calls on his cell phone. He tried to get other hispanics to cover his tracks and provide an alibi. Only God knows the truth. I am simply using my freedom of speech to voice my opinion on this blog.

CCR - Don't forget that gossip knows no ethnicity. Also if this person knew so much why not take it to the CCSD? Wouldn't that have been the thing to do? This one sounds like a lot of the rumors that have been going around ever since she went missing. People have brought up all sorts of stories. This is one that's been passed around some too, even among non-hispanics. But that still doesn't make it true.

Now your getting the poitn sawmillman! How do they know that it was actually Jerry who made the phone calls? I don't believe that he did this on his own by any means.

jb, I don't know why you would take those roads when you can take 1-85 to SC, which is the way I mapped it out. That would take away the theory that he would get stuck in traffic.

Have you thought about this from a logical point of view Hudsongirl . What happens if he did do it and gets caught . The insurance money and the farm and everything else he has is gone . Think about that for a bit !

Are you serious hudsongirl I 85 between Charlotte and Greeneville is worse than the country roads for traffic !

I clarified and said I don't know it to be true. I do think the CCSD was given the information. Considering they haven't followed up on at least half of the evidence, it doesn't suprise me that this may have been left untouched as well. I truly hope that if Jerry is innocent the jury of his peers draws that conclusion. It would be doubly sad for an innocent man to be sentenced. But my gut has been from the day she was reported missing that Jerry had something to do with it. She had expressed too many times her fear of him. Again, that is just my opinion.

From his farm all he had to do was go to the Connelly Springs road go south and cross Mineral Springs mt. to 85 in SC. to Duncan. I was just down there, going that way and I rode down had my eyes examined and ordered glasses and came back. I left at 945am was back before 2pm.
